(SCC Inc., June 3, 2010) Smithtown, NY - Shares in Jones Soda (JSDA) jumped more than 80 percent in Tuesday trading, rising 84 cents to close at $1.88. On Tuesday, more than 13.2 million shares traded hands, compared with an average day when only 635,000 are traded. One day before the Walmart (NYSE: WMT) deal was announced, on May 26, shares in Jones Soda were trading at less than 70 cents per share. The stock continued to rise as it was up over 15 percent in early trading on massive volume.

Shares of Amgen Inc. (AMGN) rose in early trading Wednesday, the morning after the biotech group announced that it has won U.S. regulatory approval for its drug Prolia for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Amgen shares were up 6% at $53.84.
